The Sea Garden and the centre

The Sea Garden is the backbone of Burgas — it runs along the centre, connects the Bridge with the Sea Station and stays the city's most used public space all year. Everything is close from there.

If it's your first time, start at the Bridge, follow the alleys and come out into the pedestrian centre. It's the quickest way to understand how Burgas is laid out.

The neighbourhoods of Burgas

Lazur and Vazrazhdane sit closest to the sea and the centre. Izgrev and Zornitsa are calm and residential with enough services on site. Meden Rudnik is the largest neighbourhood and has its own rhythm.

Sarafovo and Kraymorie are a separate story — coastal and quieter, with a village-by-the-sea feel minutes from the city.

The beaches and the Black Sea

The central beach is convenient but busy in summer. The north beach and the one at Sarafovo are wider and calmer, and off season the sea around Burgas is at its best in September and October.

Life in Burgas

Burgas is big enough for things to happen and compact enough that you keep running into people you know. Much of social life happens outdoors — on the alleys, in the centre and on the beach.
